- Structural and Composite Repair Designer
We are supporting our client, a major Canadian player in the aerospace industry, in their search for a Structural and Composite Repair Designer to contribute to the development of repair solutions compliant with airworthiness requirements and aerospace industry standards.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide approved repair solutions within prescribed timelines, adhering to airworthiness requirements and maintenance cost objectives across different geographical zones.
- Design and develop repair solutions based on existing technical and airworthiness delegations.
- Manage, analyze, and respond to technical inquiries from clients regarding structural and composite repairs.
- Monitor performance indicators (KPIs), particularly delivery timelines (OTD).
- Coordinate the development and standardization of repairs to contribute to the updating of technical documentation, including the Structure Repair Manual (SRM), Inspection Service Bulletins (ISB), and other reference documents.
- Analyze fleet service data to identify recurring issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, airworthiness, and customer support teams to ensure effective and compliant solutions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for repair methods and engineering processes.
- Perform any other related tasks as needed for the project.
Desired Profile
- You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline, with a specialization in structural design or composite materials.
- You have 3 to 6 years of experience in structural repair design, aerospace engineering, or a related field.
- You have a good understanding of metallic and composite structures applied to the aerospace domain.
- You are comfortable with technical data analysis and the development of repair solutions compliant with airworthiness requirements.
- You have experience with technical documentation such as SRM, ISB, or equivalent documents (asset).
- You demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
- You are recognized for your autonomy, organizational skills, and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- You are proficient in both French and English, both orally and in writing.
