About MDCM Clinics

MDCM Clinics is a network of two medical clinics providing accessible, compassionate, and high-quality primary care services to more than 70,000 patients. Our team includes 54 family physicians and 22 medical specialists, supported by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including Nurse Practitioners, nurses, social workers, dietitians, pharmacists, medical assistants, and medical receptionists.

We are currently seeking a Clinic Manager who is eager to play a strategic role in the day-to-day operations and ongoing success of our two clinics.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Clinic Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the administrative and operational activities of both MDCM clinic locations in Notre-Dame-de-Grâce and Westmount, ensuring operational efficiency, effective team support, and the delivery of high-quality patient care.

As part of this role, the successful candidate will be required to divide their time between both clinic locations to maintain a regular on-site presence, support staff, and ensure the smooth operation of each clinic.

More specifically, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide day-to-day operational support to physicians and all clinic staff by offering administrative and technical guidance, resolving operational issues, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinics. The successful candidate must also be available, as needed, to respond to operational emergencies that may arise during evenings or weekends.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage medical reception schedules, including absence management and staffing coverage to ensure uninterrupted clinic operations.
  • Supervise the medical reception team by overseeing recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, professional development, performance management, and, when required, disciplinary or administrative processes.
  • Develop, update, and ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and operational tools while promoting continuous improvement of administrative processes and the patient experience.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present performance indicators and administrative reports to support operational decision-making.
  • Participate actively in management meetings and collaborate on organizational improvement projects.
  • Manage the procurement of supplies and ensure the availability of necessary materials for the smooth operation of the clinics.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the Clinic Manager role as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual French/English (oral and written) – mandatory
  • College or university degree in management, administration, or a related field – an asset
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a coordination or team management role within the healthcare network or a medical clinic – an important asset
  • Experience with the DME Medesync platform – an asset
  • Excellent computer skills and ease of learning new platforms.

A vehicle is not required for this position.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary, based on experience, skills, and qualifications of the selected candidate.
  • Full-time position
  • Daytime schedule, Monday to Friday (except for occasional situations)
  • 14-month replacement contract, with the possibility of conversion to a permanent position at the end of the replacement. This position provides access to a benefits program upon obtaining permanent status.
  • Start date: September 14, 2026
  • Paid lunch break of 30 minutes
  • Three (3) paid sick days per year
  • Free coffee on-site
