Description

A Chamber of Commerce does not exist solely to represent businesses. It exists first to bring them together. Creating connections, fostering exchanges, generating business opportunities, and developing a true sense of belonging.

This community constitutes the true wealth of the South Shore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Every year, thousands of participants take part in our activities, hundreds of companies choose to trust us, and new initiatives emerge to meet the evolving needs of a dynamic business community. We are currently enhancing our team and organizational capabilities to support this ambition.

To support this ambition, we are seeking a person who will evolve the value that the Chamber offers to its members.

Your Role

Reporting to the General Director and working closely with the entire team, you will take on the Member and Business Community Engagement role.

Your mission will be to ensure that each member always derives more value from their membership, while contributing to the development of a strong, connected, and engaged business community.

You will enhance the member journey, foster exchanges among entrepreneurs, and contribute to the development of business communities, networking initiatives, and the Chamber's mentorship program.

You will work closely with a network of chief mentors and volunteer mentors to create the best possible conditions for their continued impact on the business community.

On a daily basis, you will interact with entrepreneurs, executives, partners, and various actors in the South Shore economic development ecosystem.

Your Main Responsibilities

You will be primarily responsible for: developing and evolving the member journey, from onboarding to loyalty; exploiting the CRM and analyzing data to improve engagement, participation, and member loyalty; developing business communities, exchange circles, co-development groups, and networking initiatives; planning webinars, workshops, and meetings to enrich the business community experience; coordinating the mentorship program in collaboration with chief mentors, volunteer mentors, and relevant partners; contributing to the recruitment, mobilization, and recognition of volunteer mentors; collaborating on the development of new services, programs, and initiatives; developing trust-based relationships with members, partners, and various actors in the Chamber's ecosystem.

The Profile We Are Seeking

You enjoy working with people, building lasting connections, contributing to community development, and share our ambition.

You could be the person we are looking for if you: have relevant training in administration, marketing, business development, management, communications, or a related field; have at least three years of experience in customer experience, business development, business community management, customer loyalty, or customer relations; enjoy mobilizing people around common projects; demonstrate autonomy, organization, diplomacy, and professionalism; master digital tools and customer relationship management (CRM) systems; enjoy using data to improve results; communicate confidently and naturally build trust-based relationships.

Experience in a Chamber of Commerce, association, economic development organization, or B2B environment is an asset.

Our Way of Working

At the Chamber, we believe that the best organizations provide their teams with the means to exercise their full judgment.

We seek professionals who take initiatives, collaborate generously, and constantly seek to improve their ways of doing things.

Our culture is based on autonomy, accountability, collaboration, rigor, continuous improvement, and intelligent use of technology to create more value.

Why Join Us?

You will directly contribute to the development of a dynamic and influential business community.

You will work with entrepreneurs, executives, institutional partners, elected officials, and an engaged team sharing a common ambition: to create even more value for South Shore businesses.

You will also support the mentorship program by fostering the development of this engagement community.

Beyond the position, you will participate in a collective project aimed at strengthening the South Shore's economic ecosystem.

Conditions

  • Full-time permanent position (37.5 hours/week);
  • Competitive remuneration, determined based on experience and skills;
  • Collective insurance program after three months;
  • Three weeks of vacation after one year;
