The challenges you will face

Under the supervision of your superior, you will be responsible for supporting regional businesses in meeting their labour needs. In this capacity, you contribute to the implementation of labour promotion strategies by stimulating regional consultation and coordinating actions carried out by various socio-economic partners and intervenors in the Laval region.

You will act as a resource person in labour promotion for businesses and the City. You will initiate, coordinate, and participate in promotion and training activities. You will conduct strategic monitoring, research, formulate recommendations, and participate in the establishment of intervention strategies for Laval businesses and foreign temporary workers in the context of international mobility.

More specifically, you will have the following main responsibilities:

Accompany businesses in developing, in close collaboration with the community, mechanisms and tools favouring the recruitment of labour from Quebec and abroad;

Collect the labour needs of Laval businesses, identify opportunities, and develop strategies and action plans to address the territory's labour challenges;

Design, develop, and propose projects, programs, and procedures related to your area of expertise and ensure their implementation when approved;

Act as a resource person, respond to requests, provide relevant information and explanations, and ensure the dissemination of information when required;

Collaborate and/or participate with partners (Montréal International, MESI, etc.) on missions abroad for talent attraction;

Conduct strategic monitoring and stay informed of market trends and all information and work methods that can improve the Service's activities and support for businesses. Formulate appropriate recommendations regarding potential impacts and necessary changes. Develop and maintain various tools and make them available to the served clientele.

The ideal profile for us

Hold a bachelor's degree in a relevant field;

Have five (5) years of experience in relevant functions, particularly in human resources, recruitment, employability, and strategic support for businesses;

Experience in designing and implementing support approaches (diagnosis, action plan, follow-up);

Being a member of the Order of Certified Human Resources Advisors (CRHA) is desirable.
