Security Agent

Under the supervision of the residence manager, the incumbent of the position has as their main responsibility the surveillance and security of the personnel of Chez Doris as well as the residents.

Main Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access and secure areas of the building to which they are assigned;
• Apply evacuation procedures in case of emergency or fire;
• Provide first aid to residents as well as to personnel;
• Perform surveillance of the residences using closed-circuit cameras;
• Monitor residents in common areas and document everything, completing reports in case of an incident;
• Keep first aid kits up to date and follow up on various safety equipment;
• Conduct security patrols in the residence to report any anomalies;
• Provide customer service and courteous access control to residents while respecting operational procedures;
• Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar position;
• Possess a recognized security agent training as well as a first aid training recognized by the CNESST;
• An interest in accompanying a vulnerable clientele;
• Ability to intervene in emergency situations and provide support to the clientele;
• Ability to establish strong working relationships and communicate effectively;
• Have a positive and respectful attitude;
• Ability to demonstrate discernment and rigor in the completion of tasks assigned;
• Facility to work with Microsoft Office suite;
• Bilingualism (French and English); note that proficiency in both English and French is required, as we are a bilingual organization offering our services in both official languages, in order to meet the varied needs of our clientele.
• Hours of Work:
• Full-time: 3 days from 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM
• Part-time: 2 days from 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM
