Your Role

Within CBC/Radio-Canada, the AI Lab of Technologies and Infrastructure operates as an agile and high-performing innovation cell. Our mission: to prototype, experiment, and deploy AI solutions related to media production systems across the organization. We design new custom features while integrating cutting-edge AI technologies into our existing product ecosystem.

We are looking for an AI analyst who combines pragmatism, curiosity, and ambition, ready to propel their career in applied AI. Supported by senior experts, you will thrive in a highly experimental work environment where your initiatives will have immediate and concrete impacts.

Our team relies daily on next-generation programming assistants (Cursor, Claude, etc.) to optimize ideation, development, debugging, and documentation. By joining our team, you will learn to use these tools as levers while becoming the absolute guarantor of the reliability, security, and rigor of your deliverables.

Your Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the full cycle (prototyping, development, deployment) of AI-powered applications and features, with a particular focus on cloud architectures.
• Collaborate on the fine-tuning, evaluation, and implementation of large language models (LLMs) within our business processes.
• Establish and maintain testing, monitoring, feedback, and performance evaluation protocols for our AI systems.
• Assist the team in connecting intelligent agents to internal or external APIs and services (via the MCP protocol or equivalent tool frameworks).
• Work in conjunction with multidisciplinary teams (product, architecture, data science) to infuse AI into our digital platforms.
• Lead exploratory proof-of-concept projects aimed at linking AI to our current systems to create viable new products.
• Maximize your development velocity with AI copilots while maintaining stringent standards on test coverage, code quality, and cybersecurity.

Minimum Requirements

• University degree in software engineering, computer science, data science, or equivalent discipline.
• 1 to 2 years of practical technical experience in software design (which may come from internships, academic pursuits, personal initiatives, or early professional experiences).
• Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java, combined with an excellent capacity for continuous learning.
• Mastery of the fundamentals of software engineering: quality assurance, debugging, testing methodologies, and information security.
• Functional bilingualism (French and English) is essential for pan-Canadian communication.

Desirable Qualifications

• Achievements (professional or personal) involving machine learning, LLMs, RAG architectures, or the creation of autonomous agents.
• Strong affinity for the media, audiovisual production, entertainment, or creative technologies sectors.
• Familiarity with Cloud ecosystems and contemporary AI libraries or frameworks (PyTorch, CrewAI, LangGraph, etc.).
• Proven experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.).
• Active involvement in the open-source community or portfolio of exploratory AI projects.
