Position: Night Shift Operator
- Location: St-Augustin, QC
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday (night shift) - 11:00pm to 7:00am
- Immediate Supervisor: Operations Supervisor
- Compensation: 31.83$/h + night shift premium (3.00$/h)

SCOPE OF POSITION
Produce alum and ferric sulfate according to Chemtrade's standards and procedures. Load trucks, wagons, portable tanks, and barrels of ferric sulfate, alum liquid, or sulfuric acid using appropriate safety procedures and equipment for each. Operate and maintain essential production equipment.
General Responsibilities
- Produce alum and ferric sulfate according to Chemtrade's standards and procedures.
- Load trucks, wagons, portable tanks, and barrels of ferric sulfate, alum liquid, or sulfuric acid using appropriate safety procedures and equipment for each.
- Operate and maintain essential production equipment, including the forklift and front-end loader.
- Perform basic general maintenance and equipment installation when the maintenance team is not available.
- Fill out and maintain production, safety, and quality documentation and records.
- Perform routine chemical analyses of products (various types of analyses, preparations, and CoAs).
- General calculations are required to load trucks, tanks, and wagons if required. Be able to make corrections and react to results.
- Employees must be able to clearly explain what is happening at all times (part of the hiring test during the first 3 months).
- In case of safety, quality, environmental, or productivity issues, the plant supervisor must be informed at all times.
- Employees must be able to lift loads up to 50 lb and carry these loads for a short period.
- Employees need to be in good health for certain specific tasks such as cleaning the leaf filter or shoveling magnetite.
- No repetitive motion is required to perform the job.
- The work is performed 50% in the plant and 50% in the operations office to check all trends and potential alarms.
- Any other related tasks.
Qualifications Required for the Job
- High school diploma
- Technical or AEC degree in engineering (not mandatory but would be an asset)
- 1+ years of experience would be desirable
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License
