Telecommunications Technician – Independent Contractor (Expert in Cable and Fiber Optics – Alarm Systems and Internet)

We are looking for an experienced telecommunications technician with a strong expertise in cable, particularly in fiber optics, for the installation of internet, alarm systems, and fiber optic services for residential clients.

⚠ This position is exclusively offered to independent contractors.

No salaried positions will be considered.

Required Availability: 6 days a week

Main Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and activate residential alarm systems
• Perform structured cabling and complete fiber optic installation (pulling, splicing, termination, and testing)
• Ensure the connection and activation of telecommunications equipment
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site
• Clearly explain the operation of systems to clients
• Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after installation
• Represent the company professionally with clients
• Identify client needs and propose suitable solutions
• Complete installation reports and required documentation
• Desired Profile
• Mandatory status of independent contractor (business number required)
• Mandatory experience in cable and fiber optic installation
• Experience in alarm system installation (a significant asset)
• Excellent sales and customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Autonomy, organizational skills, and reliability
• Ability to work independently in the field
• Valid driver's license and vehicle required
• Required tools for cabling and fiber optics (an asset)
