General Assistant

Location: John Abbott College (21 275 Lakeshore Road, Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue H9X 3L9)

Position: General Assistant and Diver

• Salary: $18.40

Schedule: Multiple schedules and positions are available. Details can be discussed during the interview (according to the school calendar)

Start Date: August 2026

Responsibilities

• General kitchen preparation
• Setup
• Serving customers
• Washing, transporting, and storing dishes
• Handling the cash register and filling out reports
• Participating in order listing and storage according to standards
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment that respects company policies and procedures
• Ensuring the cleanliness of the premises (dishes, floors, display cases, emptying and weighing kitchen trash/recycling/compost, service area, and dining room)
• Temperature checks
• Participating in marketing and selling various promotions
• Working at drop-off stations as needed
• Completing any other tasks related to food service, as needed

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service
• Experience in food preparation is an asset
• Demonstrated attention to detail and initiative
• Positive attitude, punctuality, honesty, and adaptability
• Ability to work in a team and under supervision
• Customer service-oriented
• Bilingualism is strongly considered an asset
