Summary

I am a 49-year-old disabled person, a rights advocate for disabled people with an active life. It has been 5 years since I created a significant precedent by leaving the CHSLD. I am a senior network engineer in IT. I am an entrepreneur aiming to create a new model of personalized service for disabled people to live outside of CHSLDs. I help other people to leave institutions. I am looking for discreet, reliable, and reserved assistants who care about assisting me in my daily life.

I live near the Charlesbourg Galleries in Quebec. I am a confident, responsible, a bit intellectual, and bilingual person. I love music (all kinds). My interests are very varied. Direct and very open-minded, I am vegan, I love movies/TV series, video games, and I believe in personal growth.

I am looking for a responsible, organized, careful, and meticulous person who respects my home and my private life. This is a full-time job. I have a team of 7 full-time, part-time, and replacement assistants. The shifts are day, evening, and night, and weekends. At night, my assistants can sleep. This ensures a 24/7 service. I am flexible with schedules and ask for the same flexibility from my assistants. This job suits everyone, but if you have experience, I especially look for people who want to work with a human approach outside of the healthcare system.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Personal Care: Respiratory care, tracheostomy care, medication administration via gastrostomy, transfers by lift, bed bath, colostomy care, wheelchair and artificial ventilator maintenance, and any other task necessary for my health, safety, and comfort.

Household Tasks: Cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, small repairs and maintenance, watering plants, etc.

Community Support: Accompany me during transportation by public transport or with my vehicle, walk with me. It may be asked of you to provide care and support services when I go out for work or leisure.

Requirements

• Have a driver's license (Important - to drive my adapted vehicle)
• Punctual and reliable

• Experience preferred, but not necessary
