Under the authority of the supervisor, the General Maintenance and Event Attendant performs various manual tasks primarily related to general maintenance, and in support of the building's event operations and furniture handling.

Description

• Perform various indoor and outdoor cleaning tasks;
• Perform general maintenance including indoor parking lots, emergency stairwells, bathrooms, performance spaces, common areas, and the outdoor Esplanade;
• Respond quickly to cleaning needs;
• Assist as needed with event setup/breakdown and furniture transport;
• Transport furniture between spaces (meeting rooms, offices, conference rooms, performance spaces, reception, or festivals);
• Snow removal (in addition to the snow removal contract; e.g., pelleting and spreading de-icers, snow removal for festival access and unit access on roofs);
• Install interior and exterior displays and signage;
• Report supply and product needs to your supervisor;
• Handle urgent issues;
• Make recommendations to your immediate supervisor regarding process improvements;
• Perform other related tasks.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in Canada;
• Able to pass the required security level;
• Relevant work experience, no specific qualifications;
• Experience operating a Zamboni (an asset);
• Monday to Friday schedule from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM;
• In good physical condition;
• Versatile and resourceful;
• Able to qualify for a security screening and medical examination;
• Able to work standing, bending, and/or kneeling as needed;
• Able to climb 3, 6, or 12-foot ladders.
