The Autorité des marchés financiers ("AMF") is seeking a motivated litigation lawyer for significant mandates in civil and commercial litigation, with a strong interest in the financial sector.

Your Role

In Collaboration With The Director Of Contentious Affairs, You Will

• Initiate administrative, civil, and criminal proceedings, and direct conservatory procedures and extraordinary appeals on behalf of the AMF;
• Defend the organization's interests by pleading before trial and appeal courts;
• Advise the various divisions of the AMF on complex legal issues in securities, insurance, and finance.

Your Skills and Expertise

• Be a member of the Quebec Bar;
• Have between five (5) and ten (10) years of experience in litigation, ideally in civil and commercial litigation;
• Demonstrate excellent legal writing skills and a solid mastery of advocacy techniques;
• Possess knowledge in securities, finance, and insurance (a valuable asset);
• Master both French and English, both orally and in writing, to ensure the drafting and analysis of legal documents as well as communications with various stakeholders;
• Demonstrate excellent judgment and strong analytical and synthesis skills, allowing you to interpret and handle complex legal cases with rigor and discernment;
• Show rigor and autonomy in managing your mandates while maintaining high quality standards;
• Exercise professional leadership and maintain effective collaborative relationships with various stakeholders.
