Mission

We are recruiting for the agricultural valorization division, a Bilingual Project Manager who can be based in Boucherville, Quebec, or Sherbrooke.

Attached to the Deputy Director – Agricultural Valorization, the Bilingual Project Manager ensures the complete management of projects for the valorization of fertilizing residual materials (MRF) for industrial, municipal, and private clients. He/she plans the projects, determines the appropriate valorization channels for the materials, manages transportation activities, ensures regulatory compliance, financial tracking, and coordination of the various stakeholders to ensure the effective and profitable completion of the projects.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate the valorization projects of fertilizing residual materials (MRF) under his/her responsibility;
  • Validate the different valorization options (agricultural, composting, cogeneration, degraded sites, etc.) and develop new channels in collaboration with the agronomic values of the different materials;
  • Optimize the different valorization options according to operational constraints and project profitability;
  • Collaborate closely with technical advisors, administrative staff, and the various stakeholders involved in the implementation of the projects;
  • Ensure the simultaneous management of several projects and monitor the achievement of operational, financial, and regulatory objectives;

Regulatory Compliance and Technical Support

  • Ensure the compliance of the projects with applicable laws, regulations, and requirements;
  • Define and communicate the project objectives to technical advisors and monitor their implementation;
  • Plan sampling campaigns and ensure the updating of the required analyses;

Operational and Financial Management

  • Plan and supervise the transport of fertilizing residual materials and the activities of the carriers;
  • Plan projects for short, medium, and long-term objectives to ensure the achievement of operational objectives;
  • Develop, administer, and monitor project budgets;
  • Ensure administrative and financial tracking of the projects, including billing and validation of monthly financial data;
  • Monitor carriers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with health and safety at work (SST) requirements;

Client Relations

  • Develop and maintain trust-based relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders in the field;
  • Analyze and resolve operational issues raised by clients to ensure the continuity and performance of the projects;
  • Ensure rigorous project tracking with clients and act as a resource person throughout their implementation;

Tracking and Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare monthly and annual project follow-up reports;
  • Participate, if necessary, in related projects in the fields of environment, restoration of degraded sites, composting, ecology, or other business activities of the company.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, agronomy (asset), or any other related discipline,
  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in project management (planning, schedule tracking, budget management, and coordination);
  • Experience in an operational, technical, logistical, or industrial environment (major asset);
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ease of use of different computer systems, databases, and management software;
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both oral and written, to interact with clients and partners in Ontario and the United States;
  • Valid driver's license and availability for occasional travel.
