Imperial Dade Canada's Hygiene Center in the Laurentians has a position to fill in Mont-Laurier, QC. The truck driver and warehouse specialist is responsible for delivering products to our clients safely and professionally, on time and with precision. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with variable hours.

Responsibilities

  • Truck Driver Responsibilities:
  • Drive delivery equipment in the surrounding areas to deliver products to our clients in a safe and professional manner, on time and with precision.
  • Load and unload stock safely for safe and undamaged transport.
  • Check all orders at the time of delivery and deliver orders according to customer specifications.
  • Ensure that equipment and trucks are in good working order by following delivery maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of delivery logs and documents to be filled out to ensure stock is accounted for.
  • Warehouse Responsibilities:
  • Prepare orders and load trucks
  • Ensure that stock is loaded safely, accurately, and efficiently.
  • Report any anomalies to the team leader and/or warehouse supervisor.
  • Participate in daily warehouse maintenance tasks.
  • Report any product or bin sizing errors to the stock checker using the bin location report form.
  • Perform daily circular checks on handling equipment before use and fill out the daily circular check form.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and/or related experience.
  • Two years of professional driving experience with a Class 5 driver's license.
  • Previous warehouse experience required.
  • Knowledge of TMD and SIMDUT would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to use electric lift equipment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good understanding of computer and phone usage.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Reliability and seriousness.
  • Good decision-making and independent working abilities.

Working Conditions/Other Conditions

  • Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Must be flexible regarding working hours.
  • Ability to work extended hours, which may be necessary from time to time.
