Our client, PH Tech is looking for a Technical Expert – Product Development to join their R&D team.

Who are they?

P.H. Tech, a specialist in the design of PVC high-performance window and patio door profiles, is currently looking for a technical expert in product development. Reporting to the R&D director, the incumbent will design new products and/or make improvements to existing products to better meet customer requirements. They provide technical support to customers, production, and other departments.

Your role

• Design new products or make improvements and modifications to existing products;
• Manage the development of new products from design to production;
• Monitor the development of production tooling;
• Ensure that products meet the performance requirements specified in the specification;
• Provide technical support to customers, production, sales, and other departments;
• Examine complaints and recommend modifications to existing products to improve their performance, ease of extrusion, or assembly;
• Develop assembly, installation guides, and parts catalogs for PH Tech products.

The main requirements for this position are

• DEC or BAC in industrial design, mechanical engineering, architecture, or similar;
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment;
• Excellent knowledge of CAD drawing software (AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.);
• Knowledge of doors and windows, an asset;
• Knowledge of project management principles or product development processes, an asset;
• Knowledge of the Office suite;
• Proficiency in French and English, spoken and written; intermediate level.
