Shipping Coordinator

Urnes Bégin ltée is a family-owned company specializing in the manufacture of high-end funeral products, and has been doing so for nearly 35 years. In order to continue our strong growth across North America, we are looking for a Shipping Coordinator to join our team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the authority of the Production Director, the Shipping Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

• Plan shipments of urns based on customer orders and delivery deadlines
• Print shipping documents from Shopify
• Associate orders with the required urns
• Assemble certain small components on urns
• Ensure inspection of urns and validation of engraving inscriptions (if required)
• Ensure protection and packaging of products
• Establish shipping priorities based on orders
• Write and prepare shipping documents while ensuring delivery deadlines are reasonable
• Record required information on orders (price, date, etc.)
• Ensure preventive planning of urns to be assembled
• Any other related tasks

Desired Profile

• Relevant experience
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good knowledge of computer applications (Office Suite, Word, Excel, Shopify, UPS/Puro account, etc.)
• Ability to work proactively and take initiative
• Team-oriented
• Ability to concentrate in a dynamic and noisy environment
• Minimum manual skills to be able to fix certain ornaments on urns
