Production Journeyman

The Urnes Bégin Ltée is a family-owned company specializing in the manufacture of high-end funeral products. We combine tradition, quality, and innovation, and have been doing so for nearly 35 years.

To continue our growth across North America, we are looking for an engaged and meticulous Production Journeyman to join our team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the authority of the Production Director, the Journeyman will have the following responsibilities:

• Assemble the components of the urns according to instructions;
• Polish metal pieces to ensure a quality finish;
• Surface finishing (adjustments, touch-ups, cleaning);
• Repair damaged pieces;
• Apply lacquers and finishing products;
• Visually inspect products to detect any defects;
• Receive wooden urns and quality control (cleaning and packaging);
• Participate in the maintenance of the work area to ensure a safe environment;
• Collaborate closely with other production team members to achieve daily objectives;
• Perform any other related tasks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Relevant experience;
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and meticulousness;
• Very good physical capacity (handling loads ranging from 5 to 25 pounds);
• Rigor, punctuality, and professional attitude;
• Team-oriented;
• Possess a minimum level of manual skill.
