Public Infrastructure Technician or Technologist

The Challenges We Offer You
- Perform activities related to the management of highway corridors (signage, road access permissions, access to the road network);
- Prepare, monitor, and pay various contracts related to the operation of the road network, particularly in coordination with the structures;
- Support other units in the fulfillment of their mandates (pre-marking, determination of preparation work, reporting, action plan follow-up, leases of abandoned railway rights-of-way, various other ad-hoc requests);
- Inspect bridges and record information in the bridge management system;
- Assess, plan, and prepare various maintenance activities for the road network;
- Provide technical support to team leaders, technicians, and workers regarding the execution of work carried out in-house by the various teams;
- Conduct various technical surveys in the field;
- Plan and organize annual work meetings, which take place in spring and fall, with various participants;
- Actively participate in emergency response plans (road closures during storms, bridge de-icing, major events, etc.);
- Perform various activities and follow-ups related to snow removal operations.

- Annual Salary:
- $51,429 to $72,194, depending on experience*
- This is the salary scale from the 2023-2028 collective agreement and is currently in effect.
The salary level will be determined at hiring based on the candidate's experience.

The Candidate Must Meet the Job Requirements
- College diploma (DEC), Civil Engineering Technology, Architecture Technology, or Geomatics Technology, or any other relevant field¹
A person can submit their application if they are in the process of completing the final year of the required degree program.
Each missing year of education can be compensated by one year of relevant post-secondary education of equal or higher level. The required diploma can also be compensated by a non-relevant college diploma (DEC) combined with one year of relevant post-secondary education.
- Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license;
- Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a work permit issued by the federal authority competent to occupy a position in the Quebec public service²;
- Have appropriate French language skills for the position.
