As a national police force, Quebec Security supports the police community, coordinates large-scale police operations, contributes to the integrity of state institutions, and ensures the security of transportation networks under Quebec's jurisdiction. Additionally, it manages a central intelligence service that it makes available to other police forces.

General information
Mandate of the unit:
Under the authority of the head of the Investigation Partnership Service (IPS) in partnership with the heads of various units of Quebec Security, the incumbent plays a support role in police investigations according to the different needs of the units to which the incumbent is assigned.
Here's what your job would look like on a daily basis
- Perform basic research in various databases (police and civilian) and extract relevant elements
- Write documents in compliance with Quebec Security practices
- Participate in the standardization of electronic document management (EDM)
- Assist administrative staff in answering calls
- Collect odometer readings
- Perform photocopying and digitization
- Participate in the preparation of a report to shed light on various acts of bravery
- Compensation, hours, and working conditions:
We offer you a minimum hourly rate of $22.02. A 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.
In addition to working during the day, Monday to Friday, the job allows for a flexible schedule, promoting the balance between your work, studies, and personal life, with adapted hours:
- Regular schedule of 14 hours/week during study sessions;
- Schedule of 21 hours/week during reading weeks;
- Schedule of 35 hours/week during the summer period and the Christmas break.
Finally, it is possible that at the end of your studies and under certain conditions, you may participate in a particular selection process to access a regular or occasional job.

Requirements to occupy the student job
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada;
- For this position, you must be enrolled in studies:
- + Full-time;
- + OR part-time (if you are in the penultimate or final session of your studies);
- Be enrolled in one of the following programs:
+ College Diploma (AEC) in analysis of criminal activities and behaviors in technological surveillance; + College Diploma (AEC) in distribution in emergency call centers;
- Or study in one of the following fields:
- + Police environment;
- + Police investigations;
- + Legal framework;
- + Emergency call management;
- + Or any other relevant field related to the job;
- Have appropriate French language knowledge for the job.
Note
- The obtaining of this job is conditional upon the results of a security investigation to demonstrate that no concerning elements regarding your morals are incompatible with the functions and attributions of this job.
