Prevost, a division of Groupe Volvo Canada Inc., is currently looking for an Electrical Product Engineer for its Ste-Claire plant.

What You Will Do

Our Electrical Product Engineers are responsible for and participate in the development of various product systems or components. They guide the design and are responsible for its technical integrity. They advise the organization to maintain its technological leadership and are the guardians of the product.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the technical responsibility of electrical systems and ensure their compliance.
• Define technical requirements and collaborate with suppliers for optimal integration.
• Supervise the design, validation, and testing of electrical components.
• Lead technical teams and support development and production.
• Participate in factory integration and troubleshoot service issues.
• Conduct technological surveillance and serve as an internal reference for electrical solutions.
• Assess risks and propose solutions to achieve project objectives.

Who Are You?

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Experience in product development, design of electrical distribution systems (low and high voltage) and design of electrical harnesses in the automotive industry.
• Technical knowledge: Automotive electrical components (connectors, wiring, fuses, batteries, etc.), standards (ISO, SAE), automotive regulations (F/CMVSS), risk analysis and reliability (FMEA, HARA).
• Writing skills: Technical specifications, test plans, technical reports.
• Languages: Excellent French and English (oral and written).
