Context

In the context of creating a technological surveillance platform for notarial trust transactions (CFN), the Quebec Bar Association, through its Chair of Research on Smart Contracts and Blockchain, is recruiting a business analyst to frame, document, and model the project's requirements.

The project aims to build an innovative solution based on emerging technologies (banking APIs, blockchain, real-time alerts) that will enhance traceability and security in notarial processes.

Mission

The business analyst is responsible for analyzing, formalizing, and fully documenting the project, in collaboration with internal stakeholders (Bar, audit committee) and technical partners (developers, architects, banks).

More specifically, the person holding the position will be responsible for:

Functional Framing

  • Translate existing notarial processes into standardized notation.
  • Organize and facilitate requirement gathering workshops with the Bar and business actors for the CFN project.
  • Formalize critical use cases (traceability, alerts, audits, etc.).
  • Establish the mapping of current and future processes (BPMN).

Specifications & Documentation

  • Write functional and non-functional specifications (performance, security, compliance).
  • Structure a complete framing file for the PoC (Lot 1) and prepare the continuity for Lot 2.
  • Participate in the definition of functional test scenarios.

Collaboration & Follow-up

  • Ensure the link between the business team, banking partners, and the technical team.
  • Prepare documentation for developers and the architecture team.
  • Participate in validation reviews, demonstration preparation, and follow-up meetings.

Desired Profile

  • Mastery of writing functional documents, use cases, and light technical specifications.
  • Experience in a regulated context, ideally in the legal, financial, or fiduciary domain.
  • Knowledge of BPMN modeling tools (e.g., Signavio, Camunda, Bizagi, Lucidchart).
  • Knowledge of Office Suite (Google Docs / Microsoft 365).
  • Knowledge of document management and collaborative tools (Notion, Git, Confluence).

Will be considered as assets

  • Sensitivity or experience with technologies such as blockchain or banking APIs.
  • Interest in the challenges of digital transformation in the legal domain.

Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline.
