We provide technological support and technical services to Quebec companies, enabling them to innovate and increase their productivity in an intelligent and sustainable manner. Additionally, our industrial advisors assist companies in identifying and prioritizing their technological needs, connecting them with internal and external resources, and following up on projects with clients.
Your role:
Reporting to the Chief Director of BNQ, the individual is responsible for the development and delivery of services needed to meet the clients' requirements for normative documents. They manage their team to optimize the use of the expertise and resources entrusted to them.
They actively contribute to the main BNQ direction, participating in the definition of orientations and strategies, setting global objectives, and developing action plans. They also assume responsibility for the standardization catalog of their direction and the proper functioning of the standardization committees under their team.
Your main responsibilities
- Define the strategic orientation of standardization activities in alignment with IQ's alignment
- Ensure the governance of standardization processes and compliance with the accreditor's requirements
- Supervise all activities related to the development, revision, and publication of normative documents
- Lead the planning and management of the standardization project portfolio, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Implement and monitor consultation, validation, and approval mechanisms for standards
- Ensure that normative document projects under their leadership are aligned with Investissement Québec's mission and governance rules
- Collaborate with the VP Innovation's business development team to promote the services of their direction
- Develop and maintain business networks with various organizations, groups, and associations contributing to the direction's sectors of activity, and represent Investissement Québec's standardization activities to them
- Coordinate with the quality team to implement the quality management system and maintain the accreditation of their technical axis
Your specific qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in a recognized discipline related to standardization activities, such as law, writing, engineering, or any other relevant discipline
- Minimum of ten years of experience as a professional, including at least two years of experience in writing or publishing activities and at least two years of relevant experience in management
- Knowledge of the standardization environment
- Knowledge of the government ecosystem
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills in French, with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences
