Do you want more for your career? We are currently looking for a candidate for an Accounting Technician position (intermediate level).
Main responsibilities
- Maintain client ledgers (full cycle)
- Process accounts receivable and payable
- Perform bank reconciliations (bank, credit margin, credit card, others)
- Reconcile DAS and sales tax accounts
- Use accounting software (QuickBooks Online, SAGE, Acomba, Excel)
- Prepare payroll
- Process government remittances (DAS, GST and QST)
- Prepare certain tax forms (T4 – RL1; opening/closing sales tax accounts or withholding tax deductions; others)
- Analyze internal financial statements and present them to the partner/client
- Manage client relationships (respond to client requests)
- Collaborate on the end-of-year file preparation
Profile and skills
- DEC or DEP in accounting;
- Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to the position;
- In-depth knowledge of the complete accounting cycle;
- Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks Online (QBO), Acomba, Sage 50 are considered important assets)
- Proficiency in the Office suite, including Excel;
- Financial analysis skills;
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
- Excellent ability to prioritize work;
- Sense of organization, autonomy, resourcefulness, and initiative;
- Ability to establish good relationships with clients.
