Main responsibilities

• Maintain client ledgers (full cycle)
• Process accounts receivable and payable
• Perform bank reconciliations (bank, credit margin, credit card, others)
• Reconcile DAS and sales tax accounts
• Use accounting software (QuickBooks Online, SAGE, Acomba, Excel)
• Prepare payroll
• Process government remittances (DAS, GST and QST)
• Prepare certain tax forms (T4 – RL1; opening/closing sales tax accounts or withholding tax deductions; others)
• Analyze internal financial statements and present them to the partner/client
• Manage client relationships (respond to client requests)
• Collaborate on the end-of-year file preparation

Profile and skills

• DEC or DEP in accounting;
• Minimum 5 years of experience directly related to the position;
• In-depth knowledge of the complete accounting cycle;
• Knowledge of accounting software (QuickBooks Online (QBO), Acomba, Sage 50 are considered important assets)
• Proficiency in the Office suite, including Excel;
• Financial analysis skills;
• Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously;
• Excellent ability to prioritize work;
• Sense of organization, autonomy, resourcefulness, and initiative;
• Ability to establish good relationships with clients.
