Context: The Quebec Ministry of Justice (MJQ) is engaged in an ambitious modernization effort to improve the accessibility of the justice system and offer more efficient services to citizens. To support this transformation, the Ministry is investing in modern, reliable, and innovative information resources.
This evolution is essential: every year, nearly 500,000 files are processed in over a hundred courthouses and service points across Quebec. Modernizing the systems will allow for accelerating processes, better aligning new technologies with day-to-day operations, and strengthening the Ministry's capacity to innovate and improve the citizen experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Under the authority of the Director of the Innovation and Software Solutions Architecture Direction (DIASL), the Director of the Realization Architecture Service (SAR) is responsible for the realization architecture and integration of business solutions to ensure the achievement of IT objectives and the sustainability of the MJQ's solutions (project execution phase). He plays a strategic role in the planning and execution of the organizational transformation plan, ensuring the consistency, interoperability, and reusability of technological solutions.
He also contributes to the health of the application park by assessing its state, targeting outdated systems, and planning modernization work with IT and business teams.
- Service Management - Activities, human resources, budgets, and materials;
- Strategic Support - Support to DIASL and the general direction in decision-making and organizational transformation;
- Detailed Architecture Direction - Business solutions, intermediate platform, and transformation program;
- IT Solutions Design - Interoperable, reusable, and aligned with best practices;
- Compliance and Integration - Compliance with development standards and best practices;
- Technological Watch - Support to DIASL in concept proofs;
- Application Health State - Contribution to the annual report required by the Ministry of Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs (MCN);
- IT Project Direction - Major projects, including those from the Lexius program.
- Salary Scale: From $110,252 to $141,123
These amounts do not include the 0.11% adjustment based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI). This adjustment will be made later, retroactively as of March 31, 2026.

The normal work week and normal work day for the cadre are those that (the under-secretary or the head of the organization, depending on the context) deems necessary for him to perform his functions.

Essentials
- Hold a university degree in administration, computer science, or a relevant discipline requiring a minimum of 90 credits or a relevant study certificate whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
Each missing year of schooling can be compensated by one year of relevant schooling of equal or higher level than that required. The required degree can also be compensated by a relevant second-cycle university degree comprising a minimum of 45 credits.
For consideration, any schooling completed outside Canada must be subject to a comparative evaluation (equivalence certificate) issued by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration.
- Have eight years of experience in professional or supervisory-level activities.
A maximum of two missing years of experience can be compensated by one additional year of relevant schooling of equal or higher level than that required.
Relevant work experience, as well as that acquired outside the workforce, is considered. Furthermore, experiences acquired during the same period can be combined without exceeding the duration of that period of coincidence.

Supervisory-level activities include one or the other of the following activities:
- Activities exercised as a cadre;
- Activities performed as a temporary and temporary replacement in a cadre position.
- Possess Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status or a work permit issued by the competent federal authority allowing work within our organization.
A person pending the proof of their permanent resident status or a work permit allowing work within our organization can submit their application to the present selection process. However, they must be authorized to work legally in Canada at the time of their appointment.

- Capacity to effectively manage human, financial, and material resources of the service;
- Skill in working with multiple directions, supporting decision-making instances, and mobilizing teams around common goals.
