To support parents in achieving a better family balance, over 200 young people attend the various services offered at the Philou Centre: a 24/7 respite, an adult school, an intensive stimulation daycare, and a permanent residence for 12 young adults. The Human Resources Technician plays a key role in the employee experience at the Philou Centre. In collaboration with managers, this person contributes to recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new hires, manages administrative personnel files, and participates in payroll production. Through their efficiency, diligence, and human approach, they contribute to offering a positive and well-organized work environment.

Main Responsibilities

Recruitment

  • Write and publish job postings on various platforms;
  • Screen applications and conduct telephone interviews;
  • Coordinate interviews with managers;
  • Follow up on applications and communicate with candidates;
  • Participate in job fairs and other recruitment activities, as needed;
  • Manage the employee referral program.

Onboarding

  • Prepare employment documents (contracts, forms, policies, etc.);
  • Coordinate the welcome and integration of new employees;
  • Perform criminal record checks;
  • Track recruitment and retention indicators and produce reports.

HR Administration and Payroll

  • Create, update, and ensure compliance of personnel files;
  • Register employees in various programs (insurance, RVER, PAE, etc.);
  • Produce payroll and follow up on administrative changes related to status, salary, and benefits;
  • Track vacations, work accidents, and CNESST files;
  • Support managers in applying internal policies and the annual evaluation process;
  • Update policies, procedures, and training records;
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement of HR processes.

Organizational Life

  • Participate in organizing employee activities (BBQs, parties, birthdays, 5 to 7, etc.);
  • Collaborate on internal committees;
  • Perform any other related administrative tasks supporting human resources.

Required Skills

  • Hold an AEC or DEC in Human Resources Management, Administration, or a related field;
  • Possess at least three (3) years of experience in a similar role;
  • Master French both orally and in writing;
  • Master English both orally and in writing;
  • Be familiar with labor laws and common HR practices;
  • Have experience with payroll software (an asset);
  • Be familiar with the community sector or OBNLs (an asset);
  • Have a strong sense of organization, diligence, and confidentiality;
  • Be recognized for your relationship skills, professionalism, and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
