The Public Health Network is a unique inter-institutional network in Quebec that brings together key actors in public health - universities, institutes, research centers, regional and provincial public health departments, government and non-governmental organizations relevant to its mission and the implementation of its programming. Among its founding members are the University of Montreal, the Sub-Ministry of Prevention and Public Health of the Ministry of Health and Social Services, the Montreal Regional Public Health Department, the Institut national de santé publique du Québec, the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail, the Institut national d'excellence en santé et services sociaux, and the Association pour la santé publique du Québec.

The Public Health Network relies on collaborative governance that aims, on the one hand, to reflect the diversity that characterizes it with the participation of multiple organizations, and on the other hand, to promote the engagement of the various participating entities in the activities and projects. The governance structure consists of a management team, a Board of Directors, and an Assembly of Members (founders and affiliated members).

The Network stands out for its collaborative approach and its role as a catalyst for high-impact projects that contribute to the response to major public health challenges and the improvement of the health status of the population. Under the authority of the management team, you will be called upon to coordinate the activities and projects of the Public Health Network to ensure the continuity of activities and contribute to the realization of the Network's priorities, as well as to support the development of structuring initiatives aimed at improving the health of the population, intersectoral collaboration, and the mobilization of knowledge.

Your daily challenges

• Discuss with the research team the projects to be undertaken to understand the priorities and orientation of research projects. Participate in the conception and planning of new projects and in the writing of grant applications.
• Determine, plan, and develop the data collection process and tools such as questionnaires, tests, surveys, interview frameworks, and the analysis techniques to follow.
• Analyze and interpret the results in relation to the literature. Propose follow-ups to the projects under your responsibility.
• Participate in the writing of scientific articles by writing sections such as project description, literature review, theoretical framework, discussion, and interpretation of results; write synthesis, popularization, training, and knowledge transfer documents, taking into account multiple sources of information.
• Plan and coordinate the activities of the projects and animate the committees under your responsibility.
• Plan and coordinate the organization of events, workshops, consultations, and co-construction activities; recommend speakers and vendors and verify the work entrusted to them.
• Present, synthesize, interpret, and explain research work in meetings, conferences, and other communication forums.
• Perform various administrative tasks such as budget and schedule planning, hiring staff.

What you need to succeed in this role

• University degree in a relevant field of specialization or a terminal university degree in a relevant field of specialization and two (2) years of relevant experience in research projects.

Our employer promise

• An annual rate between $64,437 and $94,627, depending on your experience.

• Temporary full-time position, 35 hours per week (replacement for maternity leave for one year).
