Our client is looking for a senior functional analyst specializing in cryptography and post-quantum cryptography (PQC) to contribute to strategic cybersecurity and quantum computing-related challenges initiatives.
The resource will participate in the implementation of a structured approach to identify, assess, and track cryptographic gaps in the organization's technological assets, applications, infrastructures, and systems.
The role involves close collaboration with cybersecurity teams, security architects, and stakeholders to ensure better visibility of the current and future cryptographic posture.
Main Responsibilities
Detection Mechanism Design
- Collaborate with architects and cryptography experts to define inventory and analysis mechanisms
- Contribute to the cryptographic compliance evaluation model
- Define risk and gap classification criteria based on their criticality
- Determine performance and tracking indicators for the cryptographic posture
- Gap Analysis and Evaluation
- Analyze cryptographic inventories and scan results
- Evaluate the use of algorithms, protocols, libraries, and cryptographic mechanisms
- Identify vulnerable technologies in the face of quantum computing capabilities
- Collaboration and Support
- Serve as a liaison between:
- Business teams
- Technical teams
- Cybersecurity
- PQC program
- Participate in analysis workshops and compliance reviews
- Raise awareness among stakeholders about the transition to post-quantum cryptography
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in functional analysis within cybersecurity or information security contexts
- Experience in projects related to:
- Cryptography
- Identity management
- Data protection
- Technical Knowledge
- Good understanding of modern cryptographic mechanisms
- Knowledge of:
- PKI infrastructures
- Digital certificates
- TLS protocols
- Key management mechanisms
- Knowledge of PQC standards and frameworks:
- NIST
- CNSA 2.0
- Understanding of concepts:
- Cryptographic Asset Inventory
- Crypto Agility
Skills
- Excellent analytical and synthesis capabilities
- Strong ability to popularize complex technical concepts
- Very good written communication skills
- Comfort working with multidisciplinary teams
