Are you passionate about geomatics, database analysis, and cartography?
Join our dynamic team at the Land Evaluation Department and contribute to the implementation of a brand new geomatics environment dedicated to land evaluation!
You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, particularly with the ArcGIS Enterprise suite.
The Land Evaluation Department (LED) is responsible for the development and updating of land evaluation roles for the 16 municipalities that make up the Montreal agglomeration. As part of its routine operations, it must update the cartographic documents that allow the visualization of the boundaries of the properties to be evaluated, by overlaying them with a multitude of data (zoning, relief, flood zones, etc.).
With a view to modernizing and optimizing its work methods, the LED launched in 2023 a project to implement a new modern geomatics environment dedicated to land evaluation, in collaboration with the Information Technology Service (ITS). This environment is based on ArcGIS Enterprise, PostgreSQL, FME Form and FME Flow technologies. The project is currently in the implementation phase and the LED continues the necessary work for the gradual deployment of the new geographic information system (GIS).
