One (1) full-time permanent position
Work Location: 1560 Sherbrooke East Street - Notre-Dame Hospital
Person who ensures the software and hardware configuration, optimization, and security of information systems, technological infrastructures, and telecommunications networks. They perform various tasks related to databases. They oversee the implementation, proper functioning, and evolution of complex technological components at local, regional, or provincial levels. They act as an expert in their field of specialization and support IT technicians in solving high-complexity or specialized problems. They may develop technological project implementation plans and coordinate the work of IT technicians.
Summary of Responsibilities
Under the responsibility of the Telephony Service Manager, you ensure the software and hardware configuration, optimization, and security of information systems, technological infrastructures, and telephone systems.
You oversee the implementation, proper functioning, and evolution of complex technological components related to telephony.
You act as an expert in your field of specialization and support IT technicians in solving high-complexity or specialized problems.
Additionally, you may be called upon to develop technological project implementation plans and coordinate the work of an IT technician team.
Main Responsibilities
Section A. Problem Analysis and Resolution (30%)
- Analyze and propose technological solutions to concrete problems;
- Document and synthesize the solution to incidents or service requests in the ticketing software;
- Ensure the follow-up and resolution of incidents reported by users in the ticketing software.
Section B. System Management (50%)
- Formulate recommendations to ensure the evolution and maintenance of systems under your responsibility;
- Support users of various telephone systems in service at CIUSSS;
- Ensure, within the scope of your work, the security, protection of privacy, and confidentiality of service clients;
- Comply with the standards of the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
Section C. Customer Support (20%)
- Receive, prioritize, verify, and document user requests following help requests;
- Diagnose problems encountered by users or technicians, as well as failures, and take appropriate measures;
- Assist, guide, and troubleshoot users and explain the proper functioning of telephony equipment;
- Represent the Information Resources Department in meetings of all kinds;
- Provide technical support to technicians, operators, and users (Help Desk).

Required Academic Education
- Hold a college diploma with a specialization in computer science from a recognized school by the Ministry of Education, Recreation and Sports
Work Experience
- Hold a minimum of four (4) years of experience in your field of telephony equipment and systems.
- Experience working in Avaya and Cisco telephone environments
- Experience providing IT support to users
- Relevant experience with CISCO and AVAYA telephony technologies, both wired and wireless;
- Knowledge of copper cable and fiber optic cable standards.
