In practice, the Ministry maintains, secures, designs, and builds the vast networks of maritime, railway, air, and road transportation in Quebec while innovating and respecting the environment.
STUDENT JOB – A Human Resources Advisor
To hold a student position in the public service, you must be enrolled full-time in a program of study (or part-time if you are in the penultimate or final session of your program of study)

- The challenges we propose
The Organizational Development and Employee Experience Direction is responsible for supporting the organization, managers, and staff in the development and mobilization of people. More specifically, it orients, advises, and supports the development of the skills of staff and managers by implementing programs, accompaniment, and playing an advisory role, in addition to guiding the transfer of knowledge and expertise. It also promotes the mobilization of people by orienting, advising, and supporting the optimization of the employee experience, change management, recognition and equity, diversity, and inclusion.
In this capacity, the student will have to:
- Collaborate with the mobilization and employee experience advisors in the elaboration and implementation of various actions and tools.
- Conduct research and literature reviews on best practices related to mobilization and employee experience.
- Analyze existing data within the Ministry to identify trends or needs.
- Propose and contribute to the elaboration of tools, methods, and approaches adapted to effectively collect the perceptions and needs of employees (e.g., surveys, participatory workshops, focus groups, tools for managers).
- Develop guides, memory aids, tools, and presentations on topics related to mobilization and employee experience.
- Support the organization of activities or events
- Participate in various work meetings with the advisors, as needed.
Remuneration, working hours, and working conditions
The minimum hourly rate is $28.81, and a 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.
The scale will be determined at the time of hiring based on the candidate's experience.
The remuneration is determined based on the relevance of your additional education and experiences related to the position. Therefore, it is important to detail them in your application form, which will serve as a reference.
In addition to working during the day, Monday to Friday, the position allows for a flexible schedule, facilitating the conciliation between work, studies, and personal life, with adapted schedules:
- 14-hour maximum per week during study sessions;
- 21-hour maximum per week during reading weeks;
- 35-hour maximum per week during the summer and holiday periods.
Under certain conditions, the duration of your student position may be extended.
Depending on the needs of the sector, you may have access to hybrid telecommuting (telecommuting and in-person) in accordance with the government's policy. Details regarding telecommuting will be provided during the hiring interview.
Finally, it is possible that, at the end of your studies and under certain conditions, you may participate in a particular selection process to access a regular or occasional position.

Requirements to hold the student position
- In addition to matching the above profile, you will need to:
- be enrolled full-time (or part-time if you are in the penultimate or final session of your program of study), in one of the following fields of study:
- BAC Industrial Relations;
- BAC Orientation Sciences;
- BAC Development of Persons and Organizations;
- BAC Human Resources Management;
BAC Psychology.
- be aged 16 or older as of June 30 of the current year;
- be legally authorized to work in Canada;
- have appropriate French language skills for the functions.
