What is the job about?
As a high-impact operational and strategic catalyst, the Corporate Client Group Sector Director aligns with regional leadership, financial oversight, compliance leadership, workforce planning, and external mobilization, enabling the regional head to focus on business growth while maintaining operational excellence and good governance. This role is part of the regional head's support team, Corporate Client Group, which also includes an administrative assistant and a regional habilitation coach.
What are the tasks?
- Serve as the regional head's principal operational and strategic partner, providing specialized support for all operational priorities and decision-making.
- Chair and coordinate regional leadership team meetings and lead the preparation of quarterly business review files for regional president and Canadian Banking Services Administrative Committee meetings.
- Oversee regional operations and finances to drive growth and transparency, including non-interest expense management, sales planning tracking, commercial performance metrics, and providing profitability and operational advisory services analyses to regional heads.
- Ensure operational efficiency, governance, and compliance across the region.
- Collaborate with Operations, Corporate Client Group, and Real Estate Services – Operations to manage real estate and facility needs and ensure coordination across the region.
- Collaborate with Shared Services and Strategic Planning, Corporate Client Group, to enhance staff capabilities, including coordinating workforce planning and FTEs, forecasting, recruitment, and vacant position tracking at the regional level.
- Collaborate with the Regional Office to foster regional communications, brand visibility, and internal and external partner mobilization through event coordination and effective strategic messaging.
- What is required to succeed?
Essential Skills
- At least five years of diverse experience within a company, particularly in commercial banking services.
- Strategic thinking and strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, fostering collaboration and buy-in for key initiatives.
- Strong financial knowledge, including budget management and performance metric analysis.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will serve a clientele and work with colleagues and partners who are Francophone and Anglophone across Canada.
Preferred Skills
- Operational leadership experience, particularly in commercial performance and operational risk monitoring.
- Excellent knowledge of Corporate Client Group.
