Clinic Ovo is currently seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist for a full-time regular position, 37.5 hours per week.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Prepare, verify, and issue invoices to patients, doctors, partner clinics, companies, and other clients;
- Verify the accuracy of billing information and make necessary corrections;
- Make adjustments, credit notes, and billing corrections as needed;
- Track received payments and record them in financial systems;
- Monitor accounts in arrears and collect overdue amounts;
- Communicate with clients by phone, email, or in writing to ensure collections;
- Analyze client files and propose tailored solutions to regularize accounts;
- Negotiate agreements and payment schedules in accordance with company policies;
- Follow up on payment promises and make necessary follow-ups;
- Prepare and send notices, reminder letters, and other collection communications;
- Respond to inquiries from patients and partners regarding billing, payments, and account balances;
- Document all interventions in computer systems and keep files up to date;
- Produce periodic reports on accounts receivable, collection activities, and performance indicators;
- Collaborate with finance, customer service, and operations teams to resolve billing files;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma (DEC) in accounting, administration, or related field, or equivalent experience;
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in collections, billing, or accounts receivable;
- Excellent French proficiency and good knowledge of English, both oral and written;
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Experience with accounting software or ERP (NetSuite), an asset;
- Experience in the healthcare or professional services sector, an asset.
