Job Title: Account Manager, Commercial Financing – Defence Sector

Location: Québec City, Chaudière-Appalaches, Drummondville, or Trois-Rivières

Key Responsibilities: Defence Sector Growth & Client Portfolio Management

The resource will support the growth of defence and dual-use small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by:

  • Identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities within the defence supply chain through a proactive business development approach
  • Managing an assigned portfolio of defence and dual-use SMEs, providing financing solutions and strategic advisory services tailored to client needs
  • Building strong relationships with entrepreneurs (typically $5M+ in annual revenues) to understand business models, growth plans, operational challenges, and financing requirements
  • Analyzing, structuring, negotiating, and presenting high-quality financing proposals using sound credit judgment
  • Collaborating with cross-functional internal teams and external partners to support deal execution and ongoing client success
  • Maintaining an active presence within the defence business community by participating in sector associations, industry events, and networking activities to generate referrals and strengthen market credibility

What you must bring to this role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience supporting entrepreneurs, with strong exposure to relationship management, business development, and commercial financing
  • Solid knowledge of the business environment; experience in the defence sector or adjacent industries is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to build, manage, and grow client relationships while maintaining a highly active market presence
  • Strong credit analysis skills with the ability to assess increasingly complex financing opportunities
  • Proven experience diagnosing client needs, identifying risks and growth opportunities, and providing sound business and financial advice
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strong results-driven mindset
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Recognized for high-quality client service, accuracy of advice, and relationship-building abilities
