The McGill University Health Centre Research Institute (IR-CUSM) is a world-renowned research center in the fields of biomedical sciences and health care. Established in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute serves as the research base for the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), a university-affiliated hospital center attached to McGill University's Faculty of Medicine. The IR-CUSM is partially funded by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Research Department/Program: Montreal Thoracic Institute and Institute of Research at MUHC
We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Coordinator to assist in recruiting and following up participants for 2-3 clinical research projects. These projects are randomized controlled trials on tuberculosis treatment.
Under the supervision of the immediate supervisor and study manager, the successful candidate will assist in conducting clinical studies at the Montreal Thoracic Institute and the Montreal Children's Hospital (GLEN).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the project team;
- Perform screening, recruitment, and randomization of participants in Montreal (GLEN site);
- Complete case report forms (CRF);
- Collaborate with TB clinic staff for participant follow-ups;
- Monitor all aspects of the study protocol;
- Perform other related tasks as needed.

Education: College Diploma (DEC)
- Field of Study: DEP or DEC - Sciences and Health
- Work Experience: 1 year
Required Skills
- Advanced French oral skills are required for this position.
- Intermediate English oral and written skills are required as the position requires regular contact and handling of specific information with patients who speak exclusively English.
- Self-sufficiency and work organization;
- Ability to work individually or in a team;
- Excellent interpersonal skills;
- Flexibility in work schedule;
- Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and web applications;
- Experience in the health field or clinical research would be an asset.
- Additional Information
- Status: Full-time temporary (35-hour week)
- Salary Scale: Based on qualifications and experience
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- Work Location: GLEN site, 1001 Décarie Blvd
- This position requires working at multiple sites.
- Additional Details:
- 1 one-year temporary position with possibility of renewal;
- 1 one-year temporary position for maternity leave replacement.
