Under the responsibility of the VP, Business Development - the Collective Insurance Advisor will be primarily responsible for achieving business development and retention goals.
The successful candidate will, among other things, be called upon to:
- Prospect and recruit new clients with an annual target of $200,000 in new net revenue for AGA;
- Meet with clients and some brokers periodically and build lasting business relationships;
- Advise and support the client and/or broker;
- Promote exclusive and related products to our company;
- Develop their area of business (new sales and renewals) with a particular emphasis on large-scale direct accounts (over $50,000 in annual premium);
- Refer small accounts and indirect accounts to the business retention advisors, as appropriate;
- Maintain a portfolio of approximately $300,000 in revenue, ensure smooth transfer of clients to business retention advisors during renewals;
- Collaborate with business retention advisors, present renewals of contracts coming due;
- Ensure the accuracy of the information presented;
- Gather the necessary information to compile their file for the submissions/renewals/implementation team;
- Participate in sales meetings;
- Transmit any relevant information to their immediate supervisor for tracking purposes;
- Perform any other tasks as requested by their immediate supervisor.
The ideal candidate possesses the following
- University degree (Bachelor's) or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and collective insurance;
- Must hold a collective insurance certificate from the Autorité des marchés financiers;
- Very good knowledge of social laws;
- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
- Very good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written *(Proficiency in both French and English is essential to ensure the analysis and understanding of contractual documents, brochures, and communications from both internal and external sources, often written in one or the other language. It is also essential to provide telephone and email service to anglophone clients across Canada, as well as to interact effectively with colleagues located outside the province.)*;
- The candidate will need to make frequent travel arrangements and a valid driver's license is essential;
- Good interpersonal relationships;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to demonstrate judgment, integrity, and honesty;
- Skill in protecting the confidentiality of information;
- Professionalism, resourcefulness, and autonomy.
