Description

We are looking for an organized, diligent, and proactive person to join our procurement and purchasing team. This person will play a key role in coordinating new contracts with various departments, managing purchases, tracking inventory, and interfacing with suppliers, thereby contributing to the smooth operation and adherence to production schedules.

Under the supervision of the Director of Purchasing and ERP Integration, the agent will be responsible for the following tasks to meet production deadlines:

  • Perform daily office and factory purchases and ensure timely receipt;
  • Analyze incoming contracts, calculate the required quantities of materials (fabric, hardware, accessories), and place orders;
  • Ensure that the necessary production information is clearly indicated and distribute new incoming contracts to the various departments;
  • Assist the Director in updating databases and price lists, as well as in improving processes and ERP integration;
  • Support each department in inventory tracking and, if necessary, review the min/max thresholds with the Plant Director;
  • Provide the sales team and production with the necessary information and samples from suppliers;
  • Research new products and suppliers;
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and discounts with suppliers.

Desired Profile

  • DEC or AEC in administration, procurement management, logistics, or related field;
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position (purchasing, procurement, or administration);
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written;
  • Strong sense of organization and autonomy in managing priorities;
  • Very good proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • Experience with an ERP system (a significant asset);
  • Developed analytical skills to make informed decisions;
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills between departments;
  • Strong attention to detail and diligence in task execution;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective professional interactions.
