- Your role as assistant manager
As an assistant manager, you play a key role in the success of the store. You are the right hand of our managers and actively contribute to the overall management of operations, team development and achievement of objectives.
You accompany the team members in their progression, ensure the quality of the customer experience and ensure the smooth running of the store on a daily basis.
In the absence of the manager, you are a resource person for the team and ensure the continuity of operations.
Your main responsibilities
- Actively participate in achieving sales objectives and the overall performance of the store.
- Create an exceptional customer experience and serve as a model for the team.
- Understand the performance indicators and statistics of the store in order to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Accompany, train and develop team members in order to promote their progression.
- Provide support, coaching and feedback to employees in order to help them reach their full potential.
- Mobilize the team and contribute to maintaining a positive, engaged and performing work environment.
- Support the manager in planning priorities, organizing the floor and managing daily operations.
- Ensure the follow-up of merchandising routines, restocking and stock organization.
- Participate in the integration and training of new employees.
- Take initiatives and ensure the continuity of operations in the absence of the manager.
- Perform various administrative tasks related to operations: openings, closings, billing, report production, cash balancing and other follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with safety, cleanliness, visual presentation and loss prevention standards.
The profile we are looking for
- You have relevant experience in retail, ideally in a role with leadership responsibilities.
- You like to develop people and contribute to their progression.
- You demonstrate positive leadership based on listening, example and empowerment.
- You are autonomous, organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
- You have excellent communication and team mobilization skills.
- You have good customer service, sales and problem-solving skills.
- You are curious and want to learn more about Quebec and Canadian artisans, creators and companies.
- You communicate easily in French and English.
- You want to evolve towards a management role and actively contribute to the success of a store.
