Financial Controller

Located in Lévis on the South Shore of Quebec, our client is a Quebec-based company that operates in the manufacturing and installation of railings.

Under the authority of the Vice President of Finance of the parent company and as a member of the executive committee, the controller plays a leading role in the financial management of the company.

Responsible for all financial activities of the company, the incumbent also governs the technological functions.

Main responsibilities:

Financial and strategic leadership

• Coordinate financial management.
• Responsible for the complete accounting cycle (billing, payable, payroll).
• Manage and plan cash flows including the approval of vendor accounts.
• Optimize financial and operational processes to improve their quality and efficiency and reduce closing times.
• Ensure the implementation and monitoring of internal controls.
• Prepare budgets and analyze monthly and annual financial statements.
• Produce management reports to support decision-making.
• Prepare end-of-year verification files.
• Follow and apply tax rules and new developments.

Information technology and governance

• Ensure supervision of the IT infrastructure.
• Ensure alignment of technological investments with business objectives.
• Support modernization of systems, cybersecurity, and business continuity.
• Participate in the definition of technological priorities and data governance.

Profile sought

University degree in accounting, CPA title an asset.

Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar position and/or in an accounting firm.

Bilingual French and English.

Good communicator, able to explain results to non-initiated.

Good knowledge of Office suite software, including advanced Excel.

Working conditions: Work location: Lévis

Hours: daytime (40 hours/week)

Two days of remote work per week
