Location(s): Montreal A career as a Senior Developer in ESG Data Engineering on the IT-Finance Delivery team – Regulatory Reporting and Internal Audit at National Bank means directly contributing to the implementation, support and evolution of the ESG data ecosystem (environment, social, governance). This job allows you to have a concrete impact thanks to your expertise in data engineering and data valorisation and stand out for your ability to implement best practises in data flow design and development.

Your job

  • Design, consolidate, develop and maintain multiple data ingestion flows to different data environments, in collaboration with the teams responsible for technology solutions
  • Define and document the data models required for ingestions
  • Help integrate external technological solutions with the Bank's ecosystem and act as a point of contact with external teams
  • Optimize data processing to improve the performance, reliability and efficiency of solutions.
  • Maintain and develop the ESG data ecosystem and the integrations implemented.
  • Support data owners in applying best practises and managing their data optimally.
  • Implement control, governance and data quality mechanisms to ensure data integrity.

Prerequisites

  • Relevant training in data engineering and 5 to 10 years of experience in data development, data engineering or data modelling
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with distributed systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, snowflake)
  • Experience in data flow design and development and data valorisation
  • Experience in DataVault modelling
  • Organisational skills, innovation, discipline and attention to detail.
  • Languages:
  • English, French
