Purpose of the Position

Under the supervision of the Director of the Specialized Home Care Respite Service, you will contribute to the coordination of service operations with families and autistic individuals or those living with intellectual disabilities. You will participate in its development and continuous improvement to offer quality services. Through your involvement, you will directly contribute to our mission and strategic objectives!

Main Functions 1. Provide support to the respite service in a compassionate, harmonious, and effective manner: You will contribute to the quality of the respite service by:

  • Planning and coordinating respite according to the needs of families;
  • Participating in the analysis of needs and continuous improvement of the service;
  • Collaborating on the evaluation of the expectations of care providers;
  • Supporting staff training.
  • 2. Coordinate and conduct home evaluations for new families:
  • You will guide new families through the admission process by:
  • Planning and preparing home evaluations;
  • Conducting home visits to observe the eligibility of the individual and their family;
  • Writing clear and structured observation reports;
  • Presenting your recommendations to the management.
  • 3. Contribute to the organizational development of Vivre Grand:
  • You will participate in the growth and evolution of the organization by:
  • Collaborating on the annual report;
  • Participating in the organization of fundraising events;
  • Contributing to the writing of financial assistance requests;
  • Identifying emerging needs and issues to be addressed by the organization;
  • Supervising interns, if necessary.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in social services, administration, or another relevant discipline.
  • Possess relevant work experience in the field or a related area.
  • Have excellent knowledge of written and spoken French.
  • Be proficient in using the Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc.).

Working Conditions

  • 21-hour workweek;
  • Competitive salary established according to the prevailing wage scale and attractive working conditions;
  • Live in the metropolitan area of Quebec City;
  • Immediate start date.
  • Salary: Starting at $24.76 per hour
  • Ability to commute or relocate:
  • Quebec City, QC G1H 6G6: Be able to commute without issue or plan to relocate before taking the position (Mandatory)
  • Location: Hybrid remote work in Quebec City, QC G1H 6G6
