Microsoft Solutions Designer – Cloud Technologies

Work Mode: Hybrid – 4 days/week on-site

We are looking for a Microsoft Solutions Designer – Cloud Technologies to contribute to the design, evolution, and optimization of the organization's Microsoft platforms.

In this role, you will act as a technical expert and advisor to business teams and IT teams to design secure, high-performance, and scalable Microsoft-based solutions, including Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Windows Server.

You will actively participate in infrastructure modernization initiatives, cloud transformation, and continuous improvement, while ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of the environments under your responsibility.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Solution Architecture and Design

Analyze functional, technical, and security requirements to design Microsoft solutions tailored to business objectives.

Design the architecture of Microsoft platforms (Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange Online, Windows Server, etc.).

Participate in modernization, migration, and evolution projects of cloud environments.

Develop technical architecture documents and present recommendations to various approval committees.

Ensure the application of best practices in architecture, security, and Microsoft governance.

Platform Integration and Evolution

Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and development teams to integrate Microsoft solutions into various projects.

Ensure the evolution of Microsoft platforms based on business needs and technological directions.

Participate in the planning of upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvements.

Contribute to the automation and standardization of administration processes when relevant.

Operations and Technical Support

Ensure the administration and stability of Microsoft platforms under your responsibility.

Provide level 2 and 3 technical support for complex incidents.

Diagnose and resolve issues affecting Microsoft environments, network services, and cloud platforms.

Collaborate with the first-level support provider to ensure rapid incident resolution.

Governance and Continuous Improvement

Apply ITSM processes, including change management, incident management, and problem management.

Prepare technical intervention plans and present change requests to the Change Advisory Board (CAB).

Maintain complete and up-to-date technical documentation.

Occasionally participate in interventions outside normal hours during major deployments or critical incidents.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Desired Profile

Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

Minimum of 7 years of experience in information technology.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft solutions administration and design.

Experience in complex and large-scale Microsoft environments.

Experience in designing and deploying Microsoft Azure cloud solutions.

Experience in regulated environments (finance, banking, insurance, or large enterprise) is a significant asset.

You are recognized for your ability to design robust solutions, your analytical mindset, and your customer-oriented approach. You enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, tackling complex technical challenges, and contributing to the modernization of Microsoft environments in a digital transformation context.

Assets

Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500 or equivalent).

Experience with Microsoft Defender.

Experience with Microsoft Intune.

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep).

Automation with PowerShell.

Experience in Microsoft cybersecurity.

Knowledge of hybrid environments (On-Premises / Azure).

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60,000-$115,000. This position is open.
