The person holding these positions will be responsible for following up with the clientele referred by the *General Replacement Measure Program for Adults* (PMRG) along three axes of restorative justice: mediation, repair, and awareness. Additionally, they will be required to provide psychosocial group programs offered by SEFQ to women in the justice system, both in the community and in detention.
Tasks related to the Community Intervention Agent PMRG position
- Support female and male clientele within the General Replacement Measure Program (PMRG) in collaboration with the partner organization Equijustice;
- Serve clientele across the entire territory of the Outaouais, including Maniwaki and Pontiac;
- Conduct individual follow-ups through meetings;
- Perform home visits and, in rare cases, appear in court;
- Write notes, compile statistical data, and participate in financial reporting;
- Ensure that coordinators are informed about the aspects related to the proper conduct of follow-ups.
Tasks related to the Program Agent position
- Provide group programs offered in detention and the community, both in person and via videoconference;
- Assist participants and respond to their requests;
- Conduct individual meetings as needed;
- Compile statistical data and participate in financial reporting;
- Ensure that coordinators are informed about the aspects related to the proper conduct of groups and the progress of participants.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline;
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in intervention;
- Bilingualism (English/French) is mandatory to serve the anglophone clientele;
- Excellent writing skills in French;
- Interest and skills in helping relationships;
- Strong interest in community and social issues related to the social reintegration of women in the justice system and the marginalized;
- Knowledge of the issues related to women in criminal justice, mental health, and different forms of dependence;
- Ability to both apply coercive measures and work in a helping relationship;
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a large volume of work;
- Sense of responsibility and versatility;
- Interest in restorative justice and mediation;
- Good knowledge of community resources, an asset;
- Personal values close to the organization's mission;
- Adaptability;
- Demonstrate good judgment and consistency in decision-making;
- Warm and empathetic personality;
- Conflict management and crisis situation handling skills.
Other
- Valid driver's license is mandatory. Possess a car or a vehicle-sharing subscription, such as Communauto.
Working Conditions
- Part-time position: 21 hours per week, temporary assignment;
- Daytime and occasionally evening hours;
- Start date: To be determined;
- Salary according to the corresponding scale of the collective agreement;
- Group insurance and pension plan after three (3) months;
- Four (4) weeks of paid vacation per year (12 days);
- Sick leave and mobile leave bank;
- Thirteen (13) paid holidays per year.
