Under the authority of the Director of Finance, Planning, and Financial Analysis, the incumbent will exercise leadership by advising and supporting managers in the management of programs within their expertise. They will assume leadership in monitoring and controlling financial activities across the thirteen (13) facilities in compliance with the organization's strategic directions. They are responsible for monitoring and controlling financial activities, financial forecasts, and financial analyses of programs within their expertise.
The incumbent will collaborate in the development, dissemination, implementation, and evaluation of programs under their responsibility. They will act as an expert for the directors, managers, and staff.
Main Tasks:
Specific Responsibilities
- Exercise functional authority over the employees of the administrative services of the thirteen (13) facilities.
- Provide mobilizing orientation and mentoring to achieve mandates that meet expectations.
- Support the administrative staff of the facilities in carrying out their financial activities, in a harmonized approach and with a concern for transparency towards the organization's governance.
- Participate in budget planning and the preparation of financial forecasts for the organization's financial resources.
- Contribute to the preparation of management reports, analysis and interpretation of financial information, and its communication to the financial department and administrative services of the facilities to support governance and decision-making.
- Participate in the development and monitoring of performance indicators.
- Offer expert advice on complex financial management issues of the facilities.
- Implement the required measures to harmonize the operating processes of all facilities to create an organizational climate conducive to efficiency and productivity.
- Assume other tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Education
- Hold a university degree in accounting, administration, or another discipline related to the function;
- Member in good standing of the Order of Accredited Professional Accountants of Quebec (CPA) (asset);
- Any other combination of education and experience may be considered;
Experience / Knowledge
- Minimum of two to five years of experience in similar roles;
- Ability to place the human being, both clients, their families, and colleagues, at the heart of concerns and activities;
- Highly developed analytical thinking and attention to detail;
- Strong client orientation, ability to build trust and understand business needs;
- Skill in communicating with financial directors using effective influence;
- Proficiency in Excel and basic tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, Power Query, Power Pivot);
- Sense of organization and priorities, respect for deadlines, autonomy, sense of responsibility, and diplomacy;
- Concern for well-done work.
- Have a strong interest in working with the elderly.
