People are at the heart of our success. Our culture fosters collaboration, transparency, and accountability to generate value and achieve sustainable results. Being part of the team means committing to an environment where everyone's impact truly matters.
*At Agropur, every role contributes directly to key results. Execution is measured by impact and value created—not by the number of actions.*
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Be responsible for the corporate budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring alignment between business units, plants, and corporate functions.
- Lead monthly and quarterly business performance reviews with the executive team, providing gap analyses, risk and opportunity identification, and actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with commercial, operations, and supply chain teams to evaluate profitability analyses, investment projects, pricing decisions, and merger, acquisition, and integration activities.
Foster continuous improvement in planning cycle timelines, forecast accuracy, and forecasting discipline.
2. Cost Accounting (Expertise Center)
- Supervise the optimization of cost calculation processes, data quality, and financial system capabilities, including SAP cost calculation tools, while supporting interfunctional transformation initiatives led by the central cost accounting organization.
- Ensure that cost calculation methodologies are accurate, consistent, and compliant with GAAP/IFRS and internal controls.
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to identify cost reduction opportunities, analyze plant efficiency and variances, and support manufacturing or external procurement and network optimization decisions.
Lead the establishment of standard costs, cost consolidations, and annual cost update processes.
3. Business Intelligence (BI) and Reporting
- Define and lead the corporate business intelligence strategy by implementing a scalable reporting infrastructure, KPIs, and dashboards providing self-service information to managers.
- Standardize financial and operational report definitions across the organization to ensure a single source of truth.
- Promote the adoption of modern BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) and data governance practices in partnership with IT and Data teams.
- Modernize and automate reporting processes to reduce manual efforts and accelerate access to strategic information.
- Ensure that the dashboard highlights key trends, risks, and exceptions rather than raw indicators.
- Monitor internal and external performance comparisons.
- Evaluate plant and business unit performances against each other and industry benchmarks.
Translate comparative analysis findings into targeted improvement priorities feeding the VBM framework, cost standards, and AMB dashboard.
4. Leadership & Strategic Partnership
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance and analytics professionals.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the CFO, executive team, and board of directors on financial performance, business risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Promote a data-driven, accountable, and continuous improvement decision-making culture.
Represent the Finance function in cross-functional strategic initiatives (acquisition integration, ERP transformation, network optimization, VBM deployment, etc.).
5. Board Reporting
- Collaborate with the CFO to prepare financial presentations, board materials, and information documents for the board of directors and Audit and Finance Committee.
- Transform FP&A analyses, cost data, and BI information into clear and strategic narratives tailored to the board.
- Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial information presented to the board.
Anticipate the board and committees' information needs by highlighting trends, risks, and strategic implications.
6. Introduction of Value-Based Management (VBM)
- Design and deploy a value-based management framework linking financial planning, cost accounting, and BI to long-term value creation.
- Develop value creation trees connecting operational metrics (volume, mix, costs, capital efficiency, working capital) to enterprise value and invested capital return (ROIC).
- Introduce economic profit and economic value added (EVA) measures as complements to traditional financial reports.
- Collaborate with business unit and plant leaders to integrate value creation logic into business cases and investment proposals.
- Develop organizational VBM capabilities through training, communication, and change management.
Establish governance and metrics to measure VBM maturity and impact.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional designation strongly preferred.
Experience
- 12 to 15 years and more of progressive financial leadership experience with strong exposure to FP&A, cost accounting, and analytics/BI.
- Experience in a manufacturing, food, dairy, or consumer products environment strongly preferred.
- More than 5 years in a leadership role for multidisciplinary financial teams.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating with executive teams and presenting to boards of directors.
- Experience in transforming BI and reporting capabilities and adopting modern analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
- Experience with ERPs (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and cost accounting modules.
- Experience in implementing or expanding VBM, EVA, or other value-based management frameworks.
