Head Chef

Head Chef position responsible for the food service in a senior residence. Enjoyable work in a beautiful work environment, with a great team in place. The chosen person will have to:

• Manage the restaurant service team of the Residence
• Make the staff schedules
• Proceed to purchases and inventory control
• Plan and propose delicious, adapted and balanced menus
• Respect the expected quality level and the allocated budget
• Plan and perform the cooking of food according to appropriate methods
• Ensure the optimization of the use of ingredients while respecting the quality standards
• Take care of the cleanliness of the equipment and workspaces
• Use the products and equipment in accordance with the rules and standards of safety, quality, hygiene and cleanliness in force
• Ensure the use of a work method in accordance with the rules of health and safety as well as the standards of cleanliness in force
• Participate in all tasks and the assembly of plates
• Perform all other related tasks

Required qualifications

• MAPAQ training certification
• Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in establishment cuisine or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in large-scale catering
• Salary: $50,000.00 to $55,000.00 per year
