The Manager, Maritime Services Trade - Import is responsible for achieving, or exceeding, the objectives set by the regional management, in line with MSC Canada's growth forecasts. The incumbent must have a deep understanding of the Canadian import market, including customers, suppliers, competition, and geographical opportunities/challenges. Additionally, the Manager, Maritime Services Trade - Import is tasked with analyzing market trends, developing a short- and long-term action plan, and implementing a commercial strategy with a timeline for the assigned business sector(s).

Increased complexity of tasks and increased responsibility towards the client. Autonomous work under general supervision, significant contribution to team and organizational objectives. Responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of assigned tasks. Can influence colleagues by explaining facts, policies, and practices.
Main Tasks
- Study and analyze the local Canadian market regarding volumes and revenues of designated trade zones.
- Establish collaborative partnerships and maintain commercial dialogue with current and potential clients, Geneva representatives, MSC headquarters, suppliers, and partners.
- Develop and/or enhance the commercial management import team's skills to meet the company's needs, particularly in customer service and accountability.
- Ensure that MSC Canada's volumes are maintained and increased according to our local strategy and the analysis above.
- Represent MSC Canada to stakeholders and speak on their behalf.
- Perform all other tasks assigned by management to meet the needs of the company and services.
Skills / Experience

- 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills through creative and innovative thinking
- Strong leadership skills, including influence, accountability, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Sales experience, an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Pivot, PowerPoint, and Word
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Proficiency in a language spoken in the import region is an asset
- Attention to detail and excellent time management skills, especially under pressure
