The Technical Advisor is the main point of contact between clients and the Service Department. They play a key role in welcoming clients, coordinating work, tracking repairs, and optimizing workshop operations.

Their primary objective is to ensure an exceptional customer experience while maximizing service operation efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

• Welcome clients professionally and courteously in the store
• Answer service phone calls and emails
• Identify customer needs and advise on boat maintenance and repairs
• Clearly explain work to be done, timelines, and costs
• Open, document, and close work orders
• Ensure accuracy of information (problem, diagnosis, work done)
• Maintain rigorous tracking of work progress
• Maintain proactive communication with the client throughout the process
• Plan and prioritize mechanical and aesthetic work
• Schedule work based on urgency and deadlines
• Collaborate with technicians to optimize productivity
• Ensure effective task distribution based on skills
• Ensure adherence to seasonal schedules

Required Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in a similar role (could be in another field such as automotive or recreational)
• Good stress and priority management
• Sense of organization and diligence
• Good oral and written communication (English is a plus)
• Knowledge of mechanics (a plus)
• Ability to work in a team
• Autonomy and resourcefulness
